Edoardo Miroglio Brut Rose – the wine that could not wait until New Year
We rarely drink sparkling wines, although there is no serious reason about this. Maybe we just forget about them. However, when New Year is close, they are something you cannot skip. We do not like noisy parties, champagne explosions and wasting of wine, even it is the cheapest. So for our New Year we opted for a bottle of good Rose Bulgarian sparkling wine made by the classical method – the Edoardo Miroglio Brut Rose. It was very difficult for us to have the beautiful brown bottle with a stylish pink label at home for 2 weeks and not open it until 2018 is here.
Edoardo Miroglio Brut Rose
We do not have large experience with sparkling wines and at the same time, we wanted a Bulgarian one. So opted for a product of a well-known and trusted winery – Edoardo Miroglio. They are one of the few wine cellars in Bulgaria producing naturally sparkling wines. We are also fans of their red wines so it was not difficult to pick our New Year’s bottle. Moreover, we are huge fans of Rose and their Rose sparkling wine was everything we could dream of.
Edoardo Miroglio Brut Rose is a naturally sparkling wine made by the classical method. It is 100 % Pinot Noir and has matured more than 24 months with the yeast. The result – thousands of gentle, elegant bubbles that create a juicy and fresh feeling.
What happened to Edoardo Miroglio Brut Rose on New Year 2018
Well, it just could not wait until 2018. We do not like noisy parties and events and the least we like going to bed too late. So, while going home from the performance of the opera in Stara Zagora on 31.12.2017, we unanimously agreed that there was no reason to wait until midnight to open the bottle. Why wait until midnight when we could open in at 9 lm and enjoy it for longer until we go to bed? And if New Year hadn’t come for some reason, it would still be better that we opened it earlier.
So upon our arrival at home, the beautiful bottle was gently opened without explosions and without spilling even a drop. The beautiful pink liquid quickly went into our glasses and as quickly went out of them.
For us it is very difficult to describe wines in details and for some wines it is just impossible. The Edoardo Miroglio Brut Rose was one of the latter. It was so irresistible that we didn’t notice when we had one, two, three glasses and wanted more and more. This was the quickest finished bottle we have ever had. Usually it takes us 3 days to drink a bottle because we do not drink more than one glass at a time. However, until midnight this one was almost over. Just like the bubbles in the mouth. Leaving a pleasant aftertaste of a good choice of wine that does not need an occasion.
