Airport lounges: La Valette Club, Malta

Тази статия може да я прочетете и на: Български

We often speak about the comforts we would use while travelling. Until recently, airport lounges were something we never thought about. But that was before we discovered that there are actually easy and affordable ways to use their comforts. And because we love sharing our personal experience, we will tell you about this now. Hopefully we are helpful to someone.

We arrived at the Malta airport late in the evening. Our flight was scheduled for past 22h and it was great that the La Valette Club airport lounges is open 24/7. After a whole day of walks around Valletta, we were happy to rest.

Travel in luxury, style and comfort

We do not have a lot of experience with airport lounges. But the moto of La Valette Club was totally responding to what we found there. We settled comfortably in one of the corners with sofas and were the only visitors in the lounge. That time we were travelling with our two daughters, Anna (5) and Adriana (1), both of whom were let in free of charge.

La Valette Club offers warm food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, free wi-fi, several PCs and even tablets. Everything is very clean and tidy. On the flight screens we noticed that there were ony two flight that evening – one to Sofia and one to Skopje. We were quickly brought a high chair for Adriana and had quick dinner while Anna was running free around the empty lounge.

They provided small gifts for the two kids, suitable for their age. For Anna it was a colouring book and for Adriana – a small hardcover baby book.

Anyway, the most important things in every trip are the places we visited and the emotions left. Our article about Valletta will be here soon.

Diners Club

One of the greatest advantages of having a Diners Club credit card, which we discovered recently, is the free access to airport lounges around the world. We have Diners Club Evolve credit cards, which were accepted without any doubt. This is quite useful option, as the regular admission fee to the lounge is 35 EUR per adult. If you are flying to Sofia, the flights are late in the evening and it is a very good idea to relax and have dinner in the lounge. Children under 12 enter free of charge. More information about the lounge youcan find on the Diners Club International website.
